Course Description
The course is designed to develop a student’s knowledge of the mathematical standards developed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. Students will cover the following:
Numbers and Number Systems (rational numbers)
Statistics (mean, mode, range, mean absolute deviation, comparing, etc.)
Problem Solving
Reasoning
Computation and Estimation
Probability
Algebra (1 and 2 step equations, expressions, and inequalities)
Geometry (triangle theories, 3d objects, etc.)
- I will teach the topics in class, with examples and real-world applications.
- If you miss class, SEE CANVAS to see what you missed and complete it. If you need help, get a green slip to work with me during activity period
- As you work in class feel free to see me for help or schedule a time to get extra help with me.
Classroom Expectations
Be respectful, prepared, responsible.
Ask permission to leave your seat or the classroom.
Sign out EVERYTIME you leave the classroom.
