Class Description, Expectations, and

Course Description

The course is designed to develop a student’s knowledge of the mathematical standards developed by the Pennsylvania Department of Education. Students will cover the following:

Numbers and Number Systems (rational numbers)

Statistics (mean, mode, range, mean absolute deviation, comparing, etc.)

Problem Solving

Reasoning

Computation and Estimation

Probability

Algebra (1 and 2 step equations, expressions, and inequalities)

Geometry (triangle theories, 3d objects, etc.)

 

  • I will teach the topics in class, with examples and real-world applications.
  • If you miss class, SEE CANVAS to see what you missed and complete it.  If you need help, get a green slip to work with me during activity period
  • As you work in class feel free to see me for help or schedule a time to get extra help with me.

 

Classroom Expectations                                             

          Be respectful, prepared, responsible.

            Ask permission to leave your seat or the classroom.             

            Sign out EVERYTIME you leave the classroom.

            Do you best and show your work.   TRY
