Mr. Gordon
Welcome to Punxsy! My name is Kyle Gordon, and I am the Assistant Principal for Punxsutawney Area High School. I'm thrilled to be a part of your journey here!
I originally graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor Degree in Human Development and Family Studies. After working in human services, and coaching on the side, I was inspired to return to school to become a teacher. I went on to earn my Master of Science in Education in Teaching, Learning, and Curriculum from Drexel University. From there, I spent several years in the classroom as a high school teacher before going on to obtain my Certificate of Advanced Study in Principal K-12 from Edinboro University. I then worked as an administrator in Brookville and DuBois before deciding to make Punxsutawney my home.
I have a lot of hobbies and I wear a lot of hats; but the hat that I’m most proud to wear is that of being a husband and a father. The latter is what drives my philosophy as an educational leader. Every decision I make is through the lens of being a father. We carry an immeasurable responsibility as educators, and it is an honor and privilege to serve the Punxsutawney community by helping families and our future leaders acquire the knowledge, skills, and character necessary to become successful in high school and beyond.
