Congratulations to the Punxsy Chucks Indoor Track Team on all their accomplishments during the 2024 regular season! Here is a wrap-up of some of their most recent performances!
TSTCA Championship
The indoor track and field team competed Saturday in the TSTCA Championship meet held at Edinboro University which hosted athletes from 71 different schools.
Placing in the top 8 to earn a medal were:
- Garrett Bartlebaugh placing 2nd in the 800 with a new school record time!
- Brett Dean placing 6th in High Jump
- Mary Grusky placing 7th in the Shot Put
Other noteworthy performances included:
- Adam Manners with 9th place in the Triple Jump
- Girls 4x800 Relay with 9th place finish
- Girls 4x400 Relay with a 10th place finish
- Boys 4x400 relay with a 11th place finish
- Riley Miller with a 12th place finish in the 400
- Matthew Grusky with a 12th place finish in the Shot Put
- David Kunselman with a 13th place finish in the Mile
- Boys 4x200 relay team with a 14th place finish
- Brett Dean with a 15th place finish in the 200
- Madison Momyer with an 18th place finish in the 60 hurdles and an improvement on her school record time!
- Girls 4x200 relay with a 18th place finish
- Adin Bish with a 19th place finish in the 800
- Riley Miller with a 19th place finish in the 200 and a new school record time!
- Adam Manners with a 19th place finish in the High Jump
- Girls Distance Medley Relay with a 19th place finish
- Madison Momyer with a 20th place finish in the triple jump
- Hannah Surkala with a 25th place finish in the mile
- Chris Setree with a 27th place finish in the 3000
School Records Set This Season
This was a record-breaking season for some of our Indoor Track athletes!
At the TSTCA Championship, the following athletes set new school records:
- Garrett Bartlebaugh: new school record in the 800
- Madison Momyer: new school record in the 60 hurdles
- Riley Miller: new school record in the 200
In addition to the school records highlighted above, the following records were also set this season:
- Madison Momyer, Maggie Guidice, Jorja Ansinger, and Elliana Kostok set a school record in the Girls 4x200 Relay on February 3.
- Madison Momyer, Maggie Guidice, Madison Rudolph, and Riley Miller then set a NEW school record in the Girls 4x200 relay a week later on February 10!
