Indoor Track Results from Edinboro Tri State Track Coaches Association Championship Meet on Saturday, February 21st
The indoor track and field team sent a total of 24 athletes to compete in the TSTCA Championship meet held at Edinboro University. The championship was made up of athletes from 72 schools representing Districts 7, 8, 9, and 10. The top athletes or relays were all competing towards achieving one of the top 8 places to earn a medal in each event.
Overall, our individuals and relays represented our school very well with 5 individuals and 6 relays earning a total of 29 medals. The girls’ team placed 9th overall while the boys’ team finished 19th as a team.
Competing in the TSTCA can be a challenging task considering that many of the schools we competed against today are much larger. Our athletes that competed in this event should be proud of their accomplishments this season knowing that they are well prepared to head into the outdoor season to take on the challenges they will face in District 9.
Also, Adam Manners (Triple Jump) and Elliana Kostok (Pole Vault) were accepted into the State Championship meet to be held on March 1st at Penn State!
