Art Club Veterans Day Project

Both the 9th-12th Grade and 7th & 8th Grade Art Clubs recently decorated the entryway near the PAHS Auditorium to help our school celebrate and honor our Veterans.

According to Art Club advisor at PAHS Art Teacher Mrs. Christina Young, "Overall, we probably had the help of around 150 art club students between both clubs."

Art Club members in Grades 9-12 made almost 200 hearts to celebrate the American Flag, then hung them in the lobby, embellished with some gold, glittery stars.

On one of the lobby walls, both Art Clubs hung approximately 100 stars, each with a message to our Veterans, written by Art Club members in Grades 7-12.  These stars were provided by PAHS Librarian, Mrs. Sarah Peterson, who used the library's Cricut machine to cut out the shapes.  "Much thanks to [Mrs. Peterson] for taking the time to get those ready for us," Mrs. Young added.

In addition, the 7th and 8th Grade Art Club created window paintings across the doorway windows inside the entrance to the building nearest the auditorium.

"I hope that we have helped provide a creatively warm and welcoming environment to our veterans for the program," Mrs. Young said.
