Mock Trial Club
The club is open to any student grade 7-12 interested in the art of debate.
September Meetings: During PM STAR on Sept. 11,19, & 28th in room 137
Club activities will focus on preparation for and competition in the PA BAR Association's annual PA Bar Association's Mock Trial event for high school students. This includes developing and sharpening the following skills and knowledge:
~ Use of pathos, ethos, and logos in story-telling debate
~ Fluency in active listening and critical response
~ Finess in questioning techniques
~ Knowledge of court room procedures and expectation
~ Knowledge of Mock Trial rules and procedures
In practice of these skills, Mock Trial Club may also host or otherwise take part in debates, Model United Nations, or similar events.
