Administrative Detention

 

Type of Detention: After School (PM)     Morning (AM)  

Administrator Assigned After-School Detention is held Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday after school from 3:00 to 3:45 PM in room 145. Students assigned to this detention must attend detention on the assigned dates. Students failing to attend for any reason may be; assigned extra days of detention, assigned Saturday Support or issued a suspension from school. Students should report to detention with schoolwork and follow all behavior guidelines. Misconduct in detention will not be tolerated and may result in additional consequences being assigned. Activities requiring students to reflect on their behavior, modify their behavior and make better choices may be assigned for completion during detention.

Administrator Assigned Morning Detention is held Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday mornings from 7:10 to 7:40 AM in room 117. Students assigned to this detention must attend detention on the assigned dates. Students failing to attend for any reason may be; assigned extra days of detention, assigned Saturday Support or issued a suspension from school. Students should report to detention with schoolwork and follow all behavior guidelines. Misconduct in detention will not be tolerated and will result in additional consequences being assigned. Activities requiring students to reflect on their behavior, modify their behavior and make better choices may be assigned for completion during detention.

Behavior Guidelines:

  • Students will report on time.
  • Students will work on school related activities and course work.
  • Students will not be permitted to talk, sleep, put heads down, stare out the window,freely move around the room, make noise, or engage in any activity that causes a distraction or would not be acceptable in a regular classroom setting.

 

Students are expected to share this notice with their parents.

Failure to Serve Detention:

Detention is an obligation not an option. Students who fail to fulfill this obligation may receive more detentions, lose privileges, or be suspended from school for disobedience.
